Video highlights from Sales Confidence’s February Sales Leaders Event

On February 12th 2020, Sales Confidence staged another exclusive event for sales leaders, at the stunning Andaz Hotel in Liverpool Street. We were thrilled to welcome five terrific speakers, all with great insights to share with the 200-strong audience. Everyone we spoke to afterwards said how much value they got from it.

We’ve pulled together some video highlights for you, so even if you couldn’t be there, you can still soak up the knowledge.

Lauren Cartigny — The success paradox

Who? — Lauren Cartigny is the founder of Coaching Confidence — high impact transformational coaching. Like me, she spent time in the LinkedIn sales team back in the day.

What? — Lauren shared with us how sales leaders can cope with the tremendous pressure that is on their shoulders on a daily basis.

Don’t miss — The cost of ‘fake it till you make it’.

The #1 thing — Don’t block out the emotional stuff. Authentic leadership means cutting yourself some slack.

Andrei Sochala — Creating the sales academy

Who? — Andrei is Director of Sales at Aircall over in Paris. Aircall is one of our newest sponsors at Sales Confidence.

What? — Andrei talked about the intense training programme that everyone at Aircall goes through.

Don’t miss — How to reap the massive ROI of sales training.

The #1 thing — Make sure your training is as engaging as possible. Have a mix of theory and practice.

Bethany Ayers — How always winning leads to losing

Who? — Bethany Ayers is Chief Customer Officer at Peak, doing great things with data.

What? — Bethany shared a very personal tale of how having a ‘win at all costs’ outlook on life can lead to disaster.

Don’t miss — How a game of touch rugby made Bethany realise she had a problem!

The #1 thing — Practise positive self-talk. Would you speak to a loved one the way you speak to yourself?

Rob Massa — The art of team motivation

Who? — Rob Massa is GM for EMEA at BounceX.

What? — Rob talked about his tips for firing up your team at your weekly sales meeting.

Don’t miss — What Rob misses about the late, great Kobe Bryant.

The #1 thing — Start by recognising one person in the room for an excellent performance in the previous week. It creates a positive vibe.

Renn Vara — Founder thinking and the space between

Who? — Where to start with Renn Vara? We’ve been lucky to have him speak with us many times. He’s the co-founder of SNP Communications. We call him ‘The Wizard of Silicon Valley’ and now everyone else does too!

What? — Renn talked about the differences between founders and sales leaders.

Don’t miss — Why we need to stop using the term ‘soft skills’.

The #1 thing — Salespeople are the ones that fulfil the promises made by founders!
