Meeting the Founders
I originally met Cofounder and CRO, Matt Gorniak, at SaaStock in 2018 and was inspired by his take on the changing behaviour of B2B buyers. We reconnected at SAASTR, California in February this year, along with Cofounder and CEO, Godard Abe, when the secret about them choosing London was shared with me! After hearing this news I knew our community could provide the perfect launchpad for them to reach senior sales leaders in the UK.
What is G2 Crowd?
As I said in the title of this article, G2 Crowd is the world’s leading B2B software and services review site. Like TripAdvisor is for travel, G2 Crowd is for B2B software.
Until recently, selecting business software or services was difficult, risky and inherently biased. G2 Crowd’s real, verified user reviews help you objectively assess what’s best for your business. Now, you can leverage the crowd, limit your risk and find what works.
G2 Crowd is one of the hottest names in the world of SaaS right now. In all honesty, if I wasn’t building Sales Confidence — I’d be working for them! They are hotter than hot!
It has the become leading B2B review platform with over 700,000 reviews read by more than three million technology buyers every month.
Among the millions of businesses G2 Crowd helps are Ford, Adobe, Nike and Facebook. These corporations rely on G2 Crowd to help them make better buying decisions.
Founded in 2012, G2 Crowd is headquartered in Chicago. Its last round of funding was Series C, with investors including Accel and LinkedIn. It currently employs around 250 people worldwide.
What I like about G2 Crowd is that in a relatively short time, G2 Crowd has made it the go-to site in its field. Any tech buyer worth their salt will consult G2 Crowd before they make a purchase. I also love how they have made a business out of encouraging their users to generate useful content for other users.
Henrique Moniz de Aragão is G2 Crowd’s man in London. His title is VP and General Manager for EMEA. Since March of this year, he has been leading G2 Crowd’s global expansion. G2 Crowd’s London office is its first expansion, designed to better serve our growing buyer community and customers outside the US.
Before joining G2 Crowd, Henrique spent 3 years at Salesforce, reaching the level of Senior Regional VP. Previous to Salesforce, he spent 4 years at Accenture. His experience and knowledge of SaaS, sales and business make Henrique an extremely valued member of the SaaS sales community.
