14 May James Ski agrees to become advisor to SNP Communications
I’m thrilled to be partnering up with Renn Vara, the Wizard of Silicon Valley, to provide more value to all our respective followers. Let me tell you all about it.
I first went to San Francisco in 2001. In fact, it was the first time I’d been to America. As I stood on the Golden Gate Bridge, looking at Alcatraz Island, I saw a bird flying across the sky. I remember thinking about how free it looked. I made a decision at that exact moment that one day I would be as free as that bird.
I felt at home in America. I love Americans’ enthusiasm. The ‘Nothing is too much trouble’ level of service. The ‘Have a nice day’ positivity.
It’s taken me 15 years, but I’m finally back there. Of course, it’s a bit different now. Since 2001, Apple invented the iPhone, Salesforce invented SaaS and the VC, Aileen Lee, invented unicorns! However, I’m certainly back now. In a big way.
Let me explain what I mean.

Sales Confidence is on a mission to support and enhance the sales leaders and sales professionals in the SaaS sector. One of the things I have identified is the need for leadership and communications coaching in the industry.
Many sales leaders come to Sales Confidence events. They listen and they take back ideas. But when they ask me about programmes for executive teams to help presentation and leadership skills, I didn’t have an answer for that.
