One of the best things about running Sales Confidence is announcing new partnerships with best-of-breed sales and marketing tech organisations. It’s even better when they share my passion for the industry. Last month, I told you about our new partnership with Jiminny. Today, there’s a new name to add to the list – Vidyard.
I’m excited to announce our new partnership with Vidyard, thanks to Rebecca Drew, Vidyard’s EMEA Sales Leader. After talking with Rebecca, it’s clear that there’s such a synergy between Vidyard and Sales Confidence. Linking up in this way will bring huge benefits to you, the Sales Confidence community member, especially if you haven’t tried Vidyard before.
What is Vidyard?
Vidyard is a video for business platform that helps organisations communicate better with their customers and prospects.
There are two uses cases that overlap with the Sales Confidence community membership:
- Marketing – When you host your marketing video materials on Vidyard, it’s like YouTube without the ads! Vidyard also integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo and most other marketing automation platforms, so you get a bidirectional flow of data
- Sales – If you have a client-facing sales role, you can reap the rewards when you use Vidyard to record and send video to your prospects. Video is the best way to build relationships in 2022.
Research from HubSpot found that while the number of sales emails sent has doubled since 2020, the number of responses to emails has dropped by 30%. Your prospects are getting their inboxes bombarded and they can’t keep up, so you have to find a way to cut through the noise. Video is effective at keeping your prospects engaged, no matter where you use it in the sales process.
For example, if you find that you set up meetings with prospects only to see them cancel or not turn up, try sending a Vidyard video to introduce yourself before your appointment. Your video helps forge a personal connection, making them less likely to cancel. And of course, more meetings equals more deals!
Rebecca Drew heads up the EMEA team at Vidyard. Her mission is to replicate the incredible success of Vidyard in North America over here in Europe (Vidyard has been around for 12 years in the US).

From my point of view, it’s clear that we have a shared philosophy. Firstly, we both understand the incredible power of video.
