Introducing Sales Psyche – developing your mental wellbeing AND your sales performance

 

It’s time to meet a new Sales Confidence partner… It’s a pleasure to welcome Sales Psyche to the Sales Confidence community. Let’s find out more about them.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to write one of these articles (thanks Coronavirus!), but that just makes it all the more exciting. It’s time to welcome a brand new partner to the Sales Confidence group, joining some of the world’s best sales tech organisations including Salesloft, Mindtickle and Varicent.

I’m proud to announce a new partnership with Sales Psyche and its founder, Chris Hatfield. I genuinely believe that this partnership will add a new dimension to what we offer our community. I’m a really big fan of this. Let me explain…

 

What is Sales Psyche?

Sales Psyche is all about making the connection between a salesperson’s mental wellbeing and their performance. Not everyone in the industry understands this, but mindset and performance are inseparable. You can’t achieve sales success on a long-term scale if your head isn’t in the right place. (I know this better than anybody!)

Sales Psyche is a subscription-based platform with impartial coaching and interactive training for reps, teams and managers. With Sales Psyche, you develop your mindset and your skillset – an unbeatable combination.

According to many sales reports people in sales 3x more likely to struggle with their mental health. With 2 out of 3 reps saying they’re close to or experiencing burnout you could be costing your business a huge amount of lost revenue per year.

 

Meet Chris Hatfield

Chris Hatfield is Sales Psyche’s founder. It’s been a pleasure getting to know Chris. As you probably know, mental health in sales is one of the areas I’m passionate about. It’s brilliant to spend time with someone who shares that passion and has turned it into a thriving business.

Chris was in sales for many years before starting Sales Psyche. Like me, he started doing door-to-door. But, he struggled with anxiety and was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder. Chris didn’t want this diagnosis to be like a label, and he still wanted to sell, so he looked into things like mindfulness, coaching and training.

Chris eventually became a trainer and a sales coach, working with companies including Just Google and Facebook. However, he noticed that no one was really doing anything around mental wellbeing education and prevention, specifically for salespeople. So, he decided to do it himself, and Sales Psyche was born.

 

The 3 A’s

Sales Psyche’s programmes are based around what Chris calls the 3 A’s.

  • Attention – Shining a light on areas that contribute towards your reps & managers mental wellbeing & success.
  • Awareness – Empowering reps and managers to label their biggest challenges & fears, to better understand how to tackle them
  • Action – Supporting them in taking action on this through practical takeaways and space to talk openly.

 

How we do it

Sales Psyche offers a wide range of services for organisations that subscribe. Here are some highlights:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays – Prime Your Mind morning dial-in to help get your head in the right space, separate for teams and managers, helping you build daily habits
  • Tuesdays – Psyche Sessions; live  practical training, covering topics from both the sales and mental wellbeing space.
  • Fridays – ‘Anonymous Ask Us Anything’ where you can ask Sales Psyche’s experts about anything sales or mental health related, totally confidentially.
  • There’s also the ability to book 1:1 impartial and confidential sessions to talk openly with a Sales Psyche Coach about mental health, wellbeing or sales challenges.

 

All this content is then published on a Netflix-style library platform, which you can come back to anytime you like. To measure and manage teams mental wellbeing, Sales Psyche also provide check-in surveys to spot early threats or improvements.

 

What this partnership means for you

If you’re part of the Sales Confidence community, our partnership with Sales Psyche takes what we can offer you to the next level. I speak about mental wellbeing a lot, as do many of the speakers at our events. However, we’ve never been able to give you a solution before. Thanks to Chris and Sales Psyche, we can now do that.

Sales Confidence has always been about having a good time – coming together, networking and learning without competing. But, when things are tough, which they sometimes are, it’s great to be able to put you in touch with help and information to improve yourself and your mental wellbeing.

I just wish Sales Psyche was around fifteen years ago when I started in sales!
